This site collects as little personal data as possible: essentially nothing unless you choose to email us through the contact form.
Summary
The Peptide Progress is a static educational website. There are no user accounts, no logins, no advertising, no analytics or tracking scripts, no behavioural profiling and nothing to buy. The only personal data we receive is what you type into the contact form, plus the technical request data that any web server necessarily processes.
What we collect
- Contact form submissions. Your name, email address, chosen topic, an optional page URL and your message. These are provided by you and used only to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to correct our pages.
- Technical request data. Our hosting provider processes standard server information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer and user-agent string, in order to deliver pages, protect the site from abuse and maintain availability.
We do not collect special category data, we do not ask for health information, and we ask that you do not send us any. Please do not include personal health details in a message to us: we cannot advise on them and we would rather not hold them.
What we do not do
- No advertising, ad networks or advertising identifiers.
- No analytics, heatmaps, session recording or A/B testing scripts.
- No social media tracking pixels or embedded third-party trackers.
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal data for marketing.
- No newsletters or marketing email — we do not add contacts to any mailing list.
- No automated decision-making or profiling.
Legal basis
Where UK and EU data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests for responding to correspondence you initiate and for keeping the site secure and available. We do not rely on consent for any tracking, because there is no tracking to consent to.
Who processes it
This site is hosted on a third-party hosting platform, which also processes contact form submissions on our behalf as a data processor and stores them so that we can read and reply to them. Hosting and form processing may involve transfers outside the UK and EEA, in which case the provider’s own safeguards for international transfers apply. We use no other processors: no CRM, no email marketing platform, no analytics vendor.
How long we keep it
- Contact form messages: kept while the enquiry is open and for up to 24 months afterwards, so that we can trace the history of a correction. Deleted sooner on request.
- Server logs: retained by our hosting provider for its own standard, limited period.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable data protection law, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority — in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form and describe your request. We will respond within one month.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. Its content is written for an adult audience with a professional or academic interest in analytical methods.
Cookies
See our cookie policy. In short: we set no cookies of our own and use no tracking cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the last reviewed date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described in the text rather than made silently.
